I am living a good life in Northern CA, where I have been for the past 24 years. I have been blessed with 3 wonderful children, all of them boys. I guess I am a man maker, LOL. Today this industry is quite different than it was 30 years ago. The basic principles and people skills needed have not changed but some fundamentals; compensation plan, communication methods and the psychology behind retention have shifted.
Technology and social media has revolutionized this industry, but don’t get me wrong, people skills and connecting is still a necessity for long sustainable growth. But this is so much easier now and can be done much easier on a global scale.
